Pinterest is honestly one of the best places to find interesting & unique images of homes, parties, & fashion. I recently stumbled across the image above & just loved the spray paint affect that was applied on top of the images- so eye catching in the neon yellow!

When I clicked through to the original source, I saw that these images were in fact for a bridal shower- how rad is that!? And who wouldn't love a teepee at their bridal shower? So neat for a boho chick.

Love love love the tassles on the balloo cord. Such a fab idea.

I am away for the weekend, back in the wonderful Wellington to compete in the Colour Run. I am very much looking forward to catching up with my friends in some of our old haunts in the city I love.

Peppa Hart is one of my favourite blogs-- full of fashion & design insights & inspiration for miles, it is one of those must-see blogs for a bolt of colour & happiness. With a mixture of bright boho, metallics & a splash of Morocco this feature on the super cool Sophie Bell has me itching to get creative & whip up some of my own gorgeous furniture & art.

I featured this to-die-for lounge room here... I remember feeling anxious to know more about this house & the people that inhabited it. I searched high & low for more images of other rooms, just to get a hint as to how the other spaces were styled.

I love how Sophie makes her home that much better by dotting dozens of vases of flowers & greenery around the home. It helps to achieve a truly exotic vibe- & who wouldnt want to come home to that? Be sre to check out the Peppa Hart instagram too- it's full of goodness!

This weekend was spent out at the beach house & despite the predicted bad weather with wind & rain we were fortunate to get beautiful sunshine & a whole lotta warmth.

I had expected the water to be cold considering the time of year, but my first surfing experience wasn't hindered by the coolness of the water- more the wave size! It got scary for awhile there as I got a bit tumbled around by the incessant waves- gasping for breath as they crashed before me & I was forced to duck below the water once again.

It was a very unpredictable day for a learner surfer (see how the waves look relatively small in these photos?) & I did manage to catch a few waves- just need to work on my pop up!

I hope that the sun shone for you also! Here's to the new week :)

I have a confession to make. Whilst it has been bubbling beneath the surface for some time now, I am going to finally let those bubbles free. Phew. Well. Here goes nothin'...

I am OBSESSED with Instagram.

Is that it, I hear you say? Well let me explain just how unhealthy this obsession is. I start my morning by checking my Instagram account. And then proceed to check it every 15 mins to half hour OF THE DAY. Obviously this depends on my workload, but I always seem to convince myself that a sneaky 15 second peek at Insta will dramatically improve the next 15 mins to half an hour. And so it goes.

Now while you may be sitting there thinking I am completely nuts, hear me out. Instagram is inspiring. It is compelling. Is is thought provoking & provides me with copious amounts of eye candy (which I am clearly addicted to- is there therapy for this kind of thing!?) Each day I stumble across another creative whose work really speaks to me, inspires & even motivates with my own creative work.

Jessie Breakwell was one of my finds today & I really could not help but share some of the amazingness that is her work. Her latest 'Jungle Series' is by far my favourite.

I mean, who doesn't love a zebra or elephant playing around with watermelons, in a kaleidoscope of the brightest & happiest colours you can imagine?

There is a childish joy, a light heartedness to these works that I simply can't resist. I guess we are starting to see a bit of a pattern here with the artists I love. Colour, exotic animals & fruits, bold brush strokes, & a whole lot more colour & I am hooked. Line, sinker & all.

I hope you have had a happy Thursday & if not hopefully this images have brought a wee spark or smile to your day. Be sure to check out my Insta on the way out!

I know it seems a bit of a cliche- florals for spring. But when they look this good, how could you not?
I am all for the perfect mixture of edgy & girly & this gorgeous floral moto jacket is one fashion statement I just can't get enough of.

Hope you are having a cheery Tuesday!

This past weekend was spent indoors, hiding away from the pounding wind & rain that was cyclone Lusi. It was nice to do a wee bit of baking, get stuck into a good book (I am currently working through this book- it's amazing!) do a bit of study & generally just chill out & revitalise.

Check out my instagram for more!

Hoping your weekend was just as peaceful.

The exotic getaway feel of this home, make it hard to believe it is just hours north of the hustle bustle of Sydney. Home of Sass & Bide Head Designer & Creative Director Heidi Middleton overlooks beautiful Palm Beach in the Northern Beaches region. The rambling home resembles an Italian terraced villa & has a very colourful history of inspiring inhabitants.

With a colourful array of vintage homewares, art & jewellery on display, this home has an incredibly boho feel to it which I just love.  While minor renovations have been undertaken by Heidi & her husband, more expansive plans to add an extra level onto the top of the home are underway, including an enormous walk in wardrobe/room to house her incredibly extensive (& growing) collection of vintage Sass & Bide clothing.

Isn't that bathroom just dreamy? Imagine bathing with a view like that every day!

Love the decorative tree that is home to all sorts of epic jewellery, feathers & other keepsakes- such a neat idea!

Living here would be like being on holiday 24/7 all year round- it would be difficult to get any work done!

I have come across the name Britt Bass Turner a few times in the past few days. It seems odd that this is the first I have seen of her considering the bright & bold intensity of her work is just the type of artwork that floats my boat!

Seen here as the added bit of happiness, or the cherry on top of the Designlovefest studio sitting area (how groovey is that couch!?)

The love of colour seen in the abstraction of her artworks, with contrast use of geometric lines is evident & something I truly admire. There is just something so freeing & truly happy throughout these works of art, that have me going ga-ga.

I found the above image on Pinterest the other day & immediately fell in love with how peaceful & calm the space was. The white panel walls & ceilings have been layered with exotic sheer curtains & white furniture, but brought to life with bright artwork & other small everyday necessities.

The rest of the home carried on in the same vain & I just love it. So calming & simple, but so happy at the same time, you know?

Gosh I love the weekend! I have just returned from the most wonderful weekend in Auckland, where I got to hang out with one of the coolest & strongest people I know. We had a blast buzzing around the city checking out some cool events (like the fashion show on Queen Street & the Rekorderlig Swedish Summer House- the interior decorating & props were just amazing there!!) Of course, there is no trip to Auckland without a shopping excursion & we did just that.

All in all, it was a real goodie & one I will treasure!

I truly hope your weekend was as wonderfully wicked as mine (& hello to you Shelane if you are reading this :))

This home is just gorgeous- it has that whole livable luxury thing going on. The spaces are clean & fresh, yet the layers colour & pattern create a warm & happy atmosphere. There are pieces of furniture & nic nacs that I would just love to get my hands on- for starters isn't that pink couch just incredible? I think it's L.O.V.E.

The spotty pillow cases against an all white bed? Stunning.

And this kitchen? WOW. It is unique & quite frankly feminine & girly, which I love. No matter how much I aspire to a sleek & minimal aesthetic, stuff is my biggest downfall. I just can't get enough of the charming collection of eclectic & meaningful  trinkets, that I spend so much of my time shifting around the place.

And that's me for Friday folks. I hope the weekend is sunny & fun-filled for you all!
