RELAXING DAZE // WEEKEND

Well my weekend was a fairly cruisy one, filled with BBQs, Christmas decorating & a whole lotta sun! Probably the last weekend before things turn a bit crazy, so it was nice to sit down & get the bulk of my Christmas decorations all made up & ready to go. I cannot wait, this neon Christmas thing is going to be a goodie for sure! 

The weeks' seem to be absolutely flying by, so hopefully you are able to take a break & sit back & enjoy them, like I was able to this weekend!

GET IT // INTERIORS

I just love this home of Devon Dyer from Devon Rachel. It has white walls, pretty furnishings, flowers & a whole lotta sass. My kind of place!

Isn't that top chair just amaze? I could also see it in a pink velvet...or all white...

I adore this shelving. It's so versatile & could be used as a bookcase, for pretty storage boxes or just a good ol' showing off of your fave things! Handy investment.

LIL' BIT OF LEATHER // STYLE

There isn't much I love more than a lil' bit of leather (actually a lot of leather does the trick just as well!) This dress has the perfect amount of leather to make it an easy wear on a summer's day. It is light & loose, with a wee bit of sass. Just what I love. Pair it with heels for evening, funky wee sandals or jandals for day & Converse for a more casual look. Win, win, win methinks!

I recently came across the talented design duo that make up Tassel + Gaine, a quirky new homewares business. Having met while working for two of Australia's leading retailers, the girls still manage to work full time & manage every aspect of their new venture- providing fashion forward products at affordable prices. 

These gorgeous colourful cushions are a treat for the eye & would look great in a number of settings, whether piled up on a bed or couch or separate on a desk chair or outdoors. I don't know what it is about watercolour & paint splatter cushions, but I really just can't get enough. I am sorry to say that my cushion collection's already getting a tad out of hand- but one of these babies would definitely be at the top of my list if I was in the market for more!

OLD HOLLYWOOD // INTERIORS

I have admired the illustrations of Megan Hess for quite some time now & always dreamed of owning one of her beautiful cushions. Commissioned to illustrate pieces for some of the biggest names in the fashion business such as Chanel, Dior, Cartier & so many more, this beauty certainly has it made. A couple of months ago, her home was photographed for Adore Home Magazine & I could not wait to get a sneak peak into the world of Megan Hess. 

 Boy, was I impressed! The elegance & glamour that exudes through her work & person is only intensified throughout her home. Old Hollywood glamour is brought to life with appearances from Coco & Audrey. A relatively monochrome pallete creates an opulent feel, with playful snatches of pastel pink & blue throughout.

Isn't it just stunning!? I really enjoy looking into the homes of talented creatives to see what they surround themselves with & what inspires them on a daily basis.

HELLO WORKSPACE // INTERIORS

I wish I had the room to have a proper workspace, but alas the past couple years moving around have not allowed for it. I'll continue to admire & perve on other beautiful spaces, until the time comes where I can create my own!

HIKES & COCKTAILS // WEEKEND

I had a fabulous weekend with my BFF, checking out the scenery of this stunning place we call home & managing a hike on each day. Proud of our efforts we also indulged in a few cocktails to treat ourselves & to cool us down from the heat. I am amazed at how warm it is so soon, but I am not complaining in the slightest- bring on summer I say!
