There is something about the beach in winter. Despite the much cooler temps (often requiring a sweater & tights) there is a refreshing, free feel to being one of the only people on a normally popular beach. With the sun warming my back, we spent the morning at one of our favourite beaches, with my brother & dad out paddlesurfing- what crazies! The water was freezing.
I spent the rest of the weekend trying to recover from a lingering cold, but it was nice to be at the beach house- it always feels like I am on holiday when I am there, if only it had lasted a wee bit longer!
